Former Roc-A-Fella Records crooner Rell was one of three men arrested in a drug sting in Calhoun County, South Carolina yesterday (Mar. 29).
Rell, born Wilbur Gerrell Gaddis, was arrested after Postal Service agents intercepted a package containing 50 pounds of marijuana in Columbia, SC.
Agents allowed the package to be delivered to a home in Saint Matthews, SC, where police arrested Rell and two associates.
Rell, 30, originally hails from Bowman, SC, but listed a New Jersey residence at the time of his arrest.

NYC-based PR firm BPMW (Brand Pimps and Media Whores) loaded Zunes with content from their clients’ Fall/Winter ‘07 lines. The show is Narrated by Weekly Drop, who we actually just partied with up in Boston. This is a big play for all parties involved and a genius marketing idea. The Zunes will go to all of BPMW’s clients and will stir up a nice little buzz for this PR powerhouse.

Some London based brand doing comic book inspired T’s. Looks a little much like one of our native New York brands(MISHKA). Somebody should holla at these kids…. i think they think slower over there in London or something…someone is already doin it.

It appears as though the world’s largest convenience store will get Simpsonized, though 7-Eleven Inc. said the deal isn’t done yet.

But at a company event yesterday in Richmond, officials showcased their planned promotional ef- forts with major upcoming films, including “The Simpsons Movie.”

If all goes as planned, the convenience store chain plans to refit 11 stores across the U.S. — Richmond is an unlikely choice — to resemble the front of the Kwik-E-Mart, the convenience store that Homer and other characters frequent in the classic cartoon TV series.

Customers also will be able to buy products inspired by the nearly two-decades-old show, including KrustyO’s cereal, Buzz Cola and iced Squishees (the cup says Squishee, but the contents will be Slurpee).
